Part 2 here, now, of the J20G “Ulti-late” Blog.
Hip Hop with A41FC
A41FC – Annex 41 for Christ or Annex 41 Friendship Circle. They are our tennis friends, prayer support and Bible Study Group, here doing a hiphop/ zumba number to the recent popular tunes of Megan Trainor’s Your Lips are Movin’ and Pitbull’s Fireball. (Would you believe some of them are already discount-card holders?)
Happy-ly Line Dancing
Some millennial music and dancing here by “feelingnials”. The Birthday Girls and guests happily line dance to Pharrell Williams’ bouncy music, “Happy”.
Ever the Ladies’ Fave – Dancing Queen
One of the birthday girls, yours truly, led the ladies in grooving to one of the all-time favorites — Abba’s Dancing Queen. Never fails to get those femmes up on the dance floor, swaying to the music.
Latin Grooves with Bachata and Salsa
Even while Brown Inc Band takes a breather, the music and dancing continued, with the DJ playing Latin numbers like Promise by Romeo Santos featuring Usher and a Radio Edit of the well-loved Latino hit Lambada. Watch the celebrants with their guests do the Bachata and Salsa with one of the dance leads.
Never Too Young for Some Rhumba, Foxtrot and Argentine Tango
Brown Inc Band slowed it down a bit for some traditional music genres. Nothing beats old-fashioned dancing to modern music — so here we are, foxtrotting to The Way You Look Tonight (recently revived by Michael Buble) and rhumba-ing (or tango-ing) to Pink’s Give Me a Reason.
The Time of Our Lives and Some Coldplay (fave)
The music here is so apt to the party mood. More salsa moves to the tune of The Time Of My Life (remember Dirty Dancing) by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes, followed by some reggae/ modern line dancing to Viva La Vida by one of our favorite bands, Coldplay (coming here for the Manila leg of their “A Sky Full of Stars” concert tour on April 4, which I’ll surely watch).
